Story

Soundgarden was, without question, one of the most important rock bands to come out of the end of the 20th Century.  Their mix of weighty power, soaring vocals, punk sneer and grunge heft made them one of the heaviest bands ever to break through into popular music culture while simultaneously the antithesis of rock radio's syrupy superficiality and heavy metal's self-seriousness.  They were loud, heavy, genuine, and utterly unaffected by whatever else was cool, making them the standard bearers for everything that was appealing about the grunge movement, even as their staggering musicianship and brilliant songwriting helped them transcend that era and remain not only relevant, but singularly iconic for decades.
 
Now, Magnetic Eye's Redux Series takes on arguably Soundgarden's finest and most comprehensive statement, the album that launched them to global mega-stardom while also containing some of the most lasting, meaningful, and yes, heavy songs they ever wrote.  Join us in reverent homage to one of the greatest bands and albums of all time, re-imagined from end to end by some of the greatest bands in today's underground heavy scene.
